Britain’s Got Talent viewers and judges were wowed by French dance group Les Sancho over the weekend, but previously the group had won a Golden Buzzer
Britain’s Got Talent’s return to screens saw a dance crew impress the judges on Saturday, with Amanda Holden admitting it was the most excited she’d been about the show’s dancers in a while.
All four judges loved Les Sancho and their routine which featured a twist or two, and the crowd cheered on the band as well.
The French dance group shared their excitement about being on BGT, saying it was a “level up” from previous competitions.
They seemed to allude to their earlier TV fame in France, as they said the UK version was the “first” and “greatest” of them all.
The band seemed happy to be on stage and delighted with the comments and reactions from the crowd and the judges.
Similarly, viewers at home loved the performance – with them soon being sent to the next round.
But this isn’t Les Sancho’s first experience in the “Got Talent” franchise, and in fact, they did quite well not too long ago on another version of the series.
They starred in the French edition of the series, titled La France A Un Incroyable Talent, and even made it to the final after earning a Golden Buzzer.
The Sanchos didn’t win a Golden Buzzer on the UK version, however, with some viewers admitting they thought they deserved it.
One fan tweeted: ‘I should have a gold buzzer’, while another said: ‘Oooh la sancho was sikkk!!!!’
A third fan added: “Once they started dancing like they did in the beginning I thought oh my god we saw this year after year but when Boubou came out it was a laugh. Really good.”
Meanwhile, another fan tweeted, “The Sancho’s… now it’s a bit of me! Loved it!”
The dance group is hoping for a spot in the semi-finals which will air next month.
