Humuza Bazira of Surrey is Canada’s top street dancer as judged by a crowd in Toronto at the national final of the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition.
Hip-hop dancer and popper Bazira won the crowd-judged contest on Friday August 26 at the Bentway, where nearly 700 people gathered to watch 16 dancers compete.
‘Humuzza’, as Bazira is known in the dance world, will now represent Canada at the international competition finals in Johannesburg, South Africa in December, where he will compete against dancers from more than 30 countries.

On August 7, Bazira won the Red Bull Series Qualifier in Vancouver, which took place during the Vancouver Mural Festival.
Bazira has been dancing for over five years, starting at Sullivan Heights High School.
