Did Vincent and Mia win the dance competition? Pulp Fiction secretly told you so

Mia and Vincent returned home with the trophy in Pulp Fiction, but the film secretly revealed they didn’t win – here’s what happened.

pulp Fiction has one of the most memorable dance scenes in movie history, and it’s revealed moments later that Mia and Vincent’s dance moves helped them win the dance contest…but they might have be obtained this shiny trophy by other methods. Quentin Tarantino’s filmmaking career began in 1992 with the detective film reservoir dogsand while it was a critical success and opened many doors for him in the film industry, his big breakthrough came two years later with pulp Fictionalso a detective film but told in a non-linear style.

pulp Fiction is divided into segments told out of order, each focusing on one or two characters and all crossing paths at some point. The main characters in these segments are hitmen Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson), their boss Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), his wife Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman), and boxer Butch Coolidge ( Bruce Willis), and although they all star in at least one segment, those who are often seen as the film’s protagonists are Mia and Vincent, and they’re also front and center in one of pulp Fictionthe most memorable scenes.

Vincent and Mia star in a segment as Vincent agrees to escort Mia while Marsellus is out of town. Vincent and Mia go out for dinner at Jack Rabbit Slim’s, a 1950s-themed restaurant, where after ordering food and milkshakes and chatting for a while, they decide to enter the restaurant’s twist contest. Neither Mia nor Vincent are professional dancers, but their choreography has made it one of the most iconic scenes in movie history, and we guess those weird but fun dance moves are what won them the competition, as they returned to Mia with the trophy… but a detail hidden in pulp Fiction reveals that they actually stole the trophy.

The segment that comes after the adventures of Mia and Vincent is the one led by Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis), a boxer who double-crossed Marsellus and is now on the run. While his girlfriend forgot to pack her dad’s watch, Butch makes a quick trip to his apartment and on the way there he crosses an alley, next to an apartment building. As you pass one of the apartments, an announcement or report about Jack Rabbit Slim can be heard, and very faintly (as Butch continues walking) it indicates that the trophy has been stolen. As Butch’s part of the story takes place, chronologically, the day after the evening between Mia and Vincent, this is verified. Mia and Vincent stealing the trophy isn’t out of place, and it actually makes their night more interesting and fun.

Mia and Vincent’s night took a turn because when they got home, she overdosed on drugs she found in Vincent’s jacket, and their night ended with Vincent rushing to her house. dealing and saving Mia with an adrenaline shot to the heart. Mia and Vincent’s party at pulp Fiction was full of ups and downs, and while the other contestants weren’t shown, they sure didn’t have dance moves as fun as Mia and Vincent’s.
