Fresno teacher shows off impressive dance moves to students in viral video

FRESNO, Calif. (KGPE) — A Fresno teacher has gone viral for his impressive dance moves. A viral video of Professor Austin LeMay breaking it down in front of students at Tenaya Middle School has caught the attention of millions, including many celebrities.

“I’ve been dancing in mirrors and singing in showers for quite a while, glad someone kinda recognizes me. Undeserved recognition by the way,” LeMay explained.

When Lemay heard a song from his era at the school’s weekly gathering, he had to show his students how the dance is done.

“I didn’t want to make it about myself, but I saw my boss encouraging me. But then I go up there and see Ms. Jenny check me in and we wake up Sunday morning with five million views. Ten million views. 20 million views,” LeMay said.

The video caught the attention of millions, including celebrities Ireland Baldwin, Chris Brown and even Snoop Dogg.

“It’s a lot but like I said it’s just our regular Friday and it’s nothing different for us, it just comes with a million views,” said Jenny McCauley, assistant resource advisor by Tenaya.

Lemay credits his family genes for the killer dance moves and says the best part of his newfound fame is the positivity not just on campus, but in the comments.

“The attention but it’s great. We’re going to take advantage of whatever momentum we can because I think that’s just an indication of how cool this school is. Being ‘Tenaya Brave’ a student and now as an employee here is something I’m very proud of and if I can get attention in any way I will, I will. “
