The BYU Cougars football team had a strong 2021 season. Head Coach Kalani Sitake led the Cougs to a 10-3 record with their only regular season losses to Baylor and Boise State (game loss to UAB).
BYU Football’s biggest headline last season came when it was announced that they would join the Big 12 conference in the 2023 season and that story overshadowed Kalani Sitake’s dance moves. Kalani (real name Kelaokalani Fifita “Kalani” Sitake) has shown off her “daddy dance moves” in the past. A video shared with “The Dance Club” in 2020 (see video below) shows trainer Kalani Sitake dancing with her daughter, Sadie.
It was the first time most people noticed The Dance Club, a group of Utah dads who get together and show off their sick dad’s dance moves. It looks like they welcomed Kalani Sitake with open arms because he joined The Dance Club at a dance competition and convention in Phoenix where they performed to DJ Chipman’s “Woo Tang Wit It.” This video went viral and resurfaced her previous clips.
Kalani Sitake’s Dance Moves Are So Bad They Would Make Brian Kelly Jealous
And here is this video from 2020 with her daughter
I don’t want anyone to think that I hate The Dance Club in any way. When I say their dance moves are horribly bad, it’s actually a compliment in my mind because I too am a dad with no rhythm. And if I lived near BYU, I might as well seek out The Dance Club to join and dance with these other dads.
There’s great personal joy and satisfaction to be gained from embracing your bad dance moves.
Thinking back to college and HS dances, I never spent much time on the dance floor. I would much rather play with the boys and invent new dance moves the world has never seen before. it was fun back then and the dance club with BYU Football head coach Kalani Sitake seems to be doing it now with his fellow dads.
So if anyone reading this thinks this article is from a place of making fun of these guys I apologize for not being more candid at the top of the article because I’m openly jealous that I don’t be part of their dance team.
Brian Kelly, on the other hand… He’s just one make an effort who wants to fit in at Baton Rouge with rookies. The dude’s dance moves are awful and he doesn’t set the same vibe as Coach Sitake who is really having fun at a dance contest with other dads. Brian Kelly just wants the croots.
Kalani Sitake >>>>> Brian Kelly (on the dance floor)
Here is the video that Lane Kiffin ruthlessly trolled Brian Kelly for:
Did you lose a bet or something @CoachBrianKelly ?? It can’t be real. Photoshopped? Hacked account ?? I want to say …. https://t.co/HvhOo2AcIZ

BYU coach Kalani Sitake is entering his 7th season with the BYU Cougars. He holds a 48-29 record with the team and is quite comfortable in his job, certainly after a 10-2 regular season as the Cougs approach entry into the Big 12 Conference this season. 2023. Maybe all Brian Kelly needs are a few seasons at LSU to relax and feel comfortable in his new life and that comfort will allow the dance moves to flow more naturally.
