Ludhiana students shine in dance competition: The Tribune India

Ludhiana, July 11

The city’s students emerged as winners and runners-up in the 12th National Dance Sport Championships held recently in Meerut, organizers announced on Monday.

The competitors were from the Studio of Performing Arts of Sangita, which represented the Punjab Dancesport Association of Ludhiana in the dance championship.

The association’s secretary general, Dr Sangita B Kushwaha, said 300 competitors from different states performed in the competition organized by the All India Dance Sport Federation (AIDSF), an affiliate of the Asian Dance Sport Federation (ADSF ) and the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF).

All state associations were represented by their top dancers at the competition.

“Out of the six participants from Punjab, five competed for the first time and each player won at least two medals,” Kushwaha said.
