Man City star ‘would be delighted’ to sign for Barcelona this summer – Club ‘would be happy’ with player’s arrival
Laporte, who joined Manchester City for £ 57million in January 2018, made 111 appearances under Pep Guardiola, as he became an integral part of the Blues’ defense and helped secure seven pieces of silverware during that period.
An injury has led the Frenchman to endure an extended period on the sidelines as he has only made 20 appearances in the 2019/2020 season but despite being fit for the majority of City’s last campaign , the defender has only made 27 appearances.
The successful partnership of center-back Ruben Dias and John Stones is partly to blame for Laporte’s lack of playing time, which is said to have led the 27-year-old to reconsider his future.

The Frenchman, who currently represents Spain at the European Championships after having managed to change his international allegiance “love the city“from Barcelona according to a new complaint, as Laporte contemplates a potential La Liga return.
Reports by Miquel Blazquez that Laporte would be “delighted” sign for Barcelona and “would be happy to play at Camp Nou next season.”
Blazquez also says that the 27 year old “Wants to leave Manchester City“despite his contract with Etihad until 2025 – after signing a two-year contract extension in 2019.
If Laporte left Manchester for Catalonia this summer, he would be the third City player to do so, after Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero both moved to Barcelona with free transfers.

Even though Laporte “Wants to leave Manchester City” It would be difficult to see how a cash-strapped Barcelona could fund a deal, given Laporte is one of the Premier League’s best center-backs.
The players’ potential to leave has been clearly noted by Manchester City officials, however, after Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that Laporte was one of three names mentioned in apparent negotiations with Spurs for forward Harry. Kane.
