India beat Australia by six wickets in the third and deciding T20I on Sunday to seal the three-game series 2-1. The match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium went to the wire as the hosts needed four points to win the last two balls. It was then that Hardik Pandya hit a four to bring India home. With this win, India recorded their 21st T20I win in the current year which also happens to be the most of any team in a calendar year.
After India’s victory, cricketer-turned-analyst Sunil Gavaskar stole the show with his dance moves. In the official broadcaster’s post-match programme, Gavaskar was seen dancing past Australian great Matthew Hayden in delight.

Speaking of the decisive T20I in Hyderabad, India edged out Australia in the game, what a perfect rollercoaster ride for both teams. Virat Kohli scored 63 while Suryakumar Yadav scored 69 as India chased a 187-point target on the penultimate ball of the match.
India were teetering at 30 for 2 at one point, but the Kohli-Suryakumar duo added 104 runs for the third wicket to keep the team in the chase. After Suryakumar’s wicket, Kohli took the charge but he also fell in the final over before Hardik Pandya could give the finishing touch.
Earlier, Tim David played a 54-point shot and Cameron Green broke a 21-ball 52 as Australia went 186 for 7 in 20 overs. Axar Patel again starred with the ball picking 3 for 33 in his four overs. India had won the toss and opted to play in the series decider.
