Yesterday, Team World made history at the 2022 Laver Cup. They shocked Team Europe 13-8 to win their first Laver Cup title. Few expected a young Team World squad to succeed over a star-studded Team Europe squad. But they capped off a brilliant performance to succeed for the first time in this tournament. Afterwards, Team World captain John McEnroe was in good spirits.

After Frances Tiafoe sealed the victory for Team World against Stefanos Tsitsipas, celebrations broke out in the Team World camp. They went to court to enjoy their moment of success. World Team Captain John McEnroe joined his team members in the celebrations. Afterwards, he showed off his dancing skills as Taylor Fritz and Diego Schwartzman cheered and danced with him.

Team World entered the final day of the tournament trailing Team Europe 8-4. However, they had a wonderful day on the pitch as Team World won all three games played on the final day of the Laver Cup 2022.

Moreover, Djokovic and Tsitsipas suffered shocking losses to Felix Auger-Aliassime and Tiafoe, respectively. The day started with Andy Murray and Matteo Berrettini taking on Auger-Aliassime and Jack Sock in their doubles encounter.

The American tennis legend was all smiles after his team won the Laver Cup. He said, “I would say amazing would be an understatement right now, it’s been a long time and we’ve been beaten a few times but we’ve come so close we could taste it.”
