Pep Guardiola and his conquering Manchester City team
Guardiola had already reached the pinnacle of club football in his third year as manager, in 2009. He then joined Bayern Munich, establishing domestic dominance there before eventually moving to Manchester City in 2016.
After a trophyless first season, Guardiola’s City won the league three times and achieved a domestic treble in 2018-19. They are on course to win the Premier League again this season, but it is the UCL title they are chasing.
