[Watch] Indian cricketers show off hilarious dance moves to celebrate series win

The Indian team beat Zimbabwe by 13 points in the ODI final at Harare Sports Club on Monday August 22, to win the three-game ODI series by a 3-0 margin.

Batting first, the visitors banked on a fabulous first ODI ton from Shubman Gill (130 from 97) to post 289/8 in their 50 overs. In response, Sikandar Raza (115 out of 95) nearly brought the hosts home with a hundred blisters. Gill once again came to India’s rescue, taking a superb hold to dismiss Raza and tip the game in his side’s favour.

The Men in Blue capped off their standout victory in the series with some hilarious dance moves inside the locker room. Dancing to an energetic Bollywood number, “Kala Chashma”, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan and Gill showed off some unique dance moves as they celebrated their win in a fun way.

“We came here with some ideas and wanted to use these three games” – Indian captain KL Rahul

Alternate captain Rahul was very pleased with the team’s performance in the series. Despite the absence of several senior cricketers, the youth and fringe players shone against Zimbabwe.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Rahul said:

“Obviously it feels good. We came here with some ideas and wanted to use these three games. Like I said at the start of the series, some of us didn’t have enough games, so we wanted to use this series to have enough time. We were really professional in the way we played.”

With Zimbabwe’s streak over and dusted off, India will now focus on the upcoming Asian Cup 2022, which kicks off in the United Arab Emirates on August 27.

The Men in Blue kick off their campaign against rivals Pakistan on August 28 in Dubai.
